Introduction to Tantra

Saturday 26 June

Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm
Cost: $24 drop-in fee (discount for supporting members)

– “In his Sutra teachings Buddha gives us great encouragement to accomplish the ultimate goal of human life. This goal will be accomplished quickly through the practice of Tantra. Tantra also known as ‘Secret Mantra’ or ‘Vajrayana’, is a special method to purify our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities; and if we put this method into practice we will very quickly attain enlightenment.”

– “Although Tantra is very popular, not many people understand its real meaning.”

On this half-day course, Kelsang Khacho will look at what is Tantra and how by purifying our mind through these practices, we can quickly accomplish our wishes. Not only to be happy and free from suffering for ourselves, but to help our friends and family, all those we meet and all beings.

It is recommended to attend ‘The Power of Imagination’ which is being held on June 5.

Saturday 18 September

Sometimes we supress our anger because we are afraid of the consequences or of the person making us angry. This eventually makes us feel bitter, weak and disempowered. Sometimes we express our anger because we want to hurt or retaliate. This generally leads to regrets and even more harm for ourselves and others. Is there not another way of dealing with anger? Because, one way or another, we are all constantly faced with people or situations that just make us want to explode!

Kelsang Khacho will explain Buddha’s special methods for deflecting, defusing and disposing of our anger habits – and responding more effectively to the anger of others. This is a rare opportunity to learn the middle way of avoiding the harmful effects of our own and others’ anger.
