April 27 – Refuge Vow Ceremony & Teachings
with Kelsang Khacho
By sincerely going for refuge to Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha we can form a strong foundation for our spiritual practice, accumulate a vast amount of merit, and quickly make progress along the paths that lead to permanent freedom from suffering.
On Saturday – April 20th, Kelsang Khacho will give teachings on what does it mean to go for refuge to the Three Jewels. Following the teachings, a Refuge Vow Ceremony will be offered for those who wish to take refuge vows and formally become a Buddhist. We will learn the meaning, benefits, and commitments of Buddhist refuge practice.
Then a refuge retreat will follow, giving practitioners an opportunity to draw closer to the Three Jewels through guided meditations led by Kelsang Khacho. Through practicing refuge, we will be protected from our inner problems, and discover true happiness.
